New release of MODAS is now available. Read de details...
 New in Modas:
1) the new interface design is now completed, includes new designed
message dialogs
2) the program coming with new extended configuration capabilities
a) the data is now stored in like windows ini file format and your
configuration will be always compatable with all late versions
b) the graphical window look can be also customized and stored
as windows ini file (extention tmp, from template). The package
comes with four templates
3) new file history with different settings, like full file path, showimg only
existing files
4) show/hide main window titlebar, show full file path
5) unique file name by saving, add of date and time to the file name part
(for example cassegr.dsg, cassegr_1.dsg, cassegr_2.dsg etc.)
6) overwriting of all program folders
7) new color settings for the surfaces spread sheet editor (object, image,
mirror, lens, air space)
8) fields and wavelengts - interpolate colors by start and end color, or
interpolation like rainbow
10) print previewing of text data
12) bug fixes:
a) add current design to existing other user definet design (lens) catalog
b) saving from changed fields and wavelengths
Future work: I work currently under MODAS Reloaded 4.2, that come with new glass handling routines, and will interpolate much preciser the refractive indices, than current glass calculations. Different dispersion formulas will be supported. Also the glass, wavelength and field data structure will be changed and made much flexible. The surface spread sheet editor and file format will be changed and made compatiblie with same conventions like ZEMAX, OSLO and OpTalix. All this will cause of course great changes in the raytracing routines and all the program. The program comes with new gradient bar menu, and flexible dockable toolbar, like ms-office.
