DOF | | Description: | DOF is a program for photographers that computes the depth of field for a lens given its focal length, f stop, focus distance and the desired resolution at the film plane. It reports the near and far focus limits as well as the hyperfocal distance. | | | Version: | 1.0 | | Filesize: | 0 bytes | | Added on: | 11-Dec-2003 | | Downloads: | 280 | | Category: | Pocket PC | | Homepage | Rate resource | Details
Expose | | Description: | Expose is an automated exposure guide for photographers that computes recommended exposures given film speed, filter being used, type of film, and scene illumination level. It can operate in either aperture or shutter priority mode and it incorporates a knowledge of the proper exposure for many different lighting situations, including corrections for filters and film reciprocity failure. The filter, film and scene databases are customizable. | | | Version: | 1.0 | | Filesize: | 0 bytes | | Added on: | 11-Dec-2003 | | Downloads: | 347 | | Rating: | 7.0 (1 Vote) | | Category: | Pocket PC | | Homepage | Rate resource | Details | Comments (1)
Astro Timer | | Description: | This program is for Pocket PC (PPC) enabled PDA''s it simply registers screen taps and records the time of the ''tap''.
Designed for recording the timings of lunar grazings, lunar ocultations, asteroid occultations transits, meteor showers and any other astronomical observation that needs a record of the date and time to the nearest 10th of a second.
The time of each event is recorded on the screen and passed to the clipboard on exit, so can be pasted into any application | | | Version: | 1 | | Filesize: | 4.00 Kb | | Added on: | 03-Jan-2006 | | Downloads: | 350 | | Category: | Pocket PC | | Homepage | Rate resource | Details
Riseset v1.1 | | Description: | The Riseset Application displays information about the rise, transit and set times (among other data) for the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Any date and user location may be specified.
Riseset has good accuracy for visual sighting. The actual sun times should be within a few seconds of the time shown. The moon and planets times are given to the second, but the actual time could be ± a minute.
The program also gives:
- The altitude and azimuth angles at the current time, or at a user specified time.
- A compass drawing showing the azimuth and altitude angles.
- Optional magnetic compass correction for azimuth angles.
- The right ascension and declination of each of the celestial bodies.
- For the Sun -- the length of the day, time of the civil, nautical, and astronomical twilight.
- The current percent visibility of the Moon.
- The date and time of the next Moon phase.
- Lunar or solar eclipse information a few days in advance of the event.

Ephemeris | | Description: | Ephemeris is a program that lets you enter a date and a location and then computes the time and azimuth (compass bearing) or sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset. In addition, it displays a schematic representation of the phase of the moon and its % illumination. It can also generate a table listing the positions of the sun and moon in the sky and the length of shadows cast by the sun at 15 minute intervals for a given day. In Calendar mode, it can display the phases of the moon for any given month. Finally there is Compass mode -- just point your pocket PC at the sun or moon and it tells you which way is north. | | | Version: | 1.0 | | Filesize: | 0 bytes | | Added on: | 11-Dec-2003 | | Downloads: | 557 | | Rating: | 5.0 (1 Vote) | | Category: | Pocket PC | | Homepage | Rate resource | Details
