Pocket StarCalc is a small and fast astronomical planetarium program.
Capabilities include:
. Building the sky image for any moment in time (from 9999 B.C. to 9999 A.D.), taking into account the precession, nutation and refraction for any location on Earth, with any step forward or back (set manually or automatically); synchronizing the program time with the computer's system time.
. Drawing the Sun, the Moon and the planets of the Solar system; calculation; displaying detailed information.
. Displaying the Sun and the Moon as disks of an appropriate size; showing the Moon phase; displaying the umbra and penumbra of the Earth during lunar eclipses.
. Displaying planets as disks of an appropriate size and showing their phases (if the zoom value is large).
. Calculating and displaying the major satellites of Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus with detailed visibility information.
. Displaying 9000 stars with detailed information.
. Displaying the constellation figure lines.
. Displaying constellation boundaries.
. Displaying constellation names.
. Displaying the horizon with cardinal points.
. Displaying the 139 brightest and most interesting galaxies, nebulae and star clusters with detailed information.
. Displaying the horizontal coordinate grid.

. Possibility to view any sky area and zoom it in/out.
. "Object locking" mode in which selected objects are automatically centered on the screen during any operations.

. Searching for various celestial objects.
