hcAnywhere is the Celestron NexStar series hand controller in a software form. It performs all of the operations in exactly the same way as your real hand controller.
hcAnywhere also offers additional features: move the mouse over scrolling LCD text to display the entire message with the Balloon Text feature; the computer will speak what is displayed on the LCD; you can control the telescope via a wireless gamepad; tours are no longer a fixed list of objects. hcTour allows you to create and edit your own tours which can then be accessed from hcAnywhere.
You can also download your latitude and longitude from an NMEA compatible GPS device connected to your computer. hcGPS connects your personal GPS device with hcAnywhere, allowing it to override the location information. This is especially useful for those telescopes that don't support a GPS, such as the GT series models.
