KAstrometry is an Astrometry program for the KDE Desktop Environment. It is written in Python. It aims to be a good tool to make measurements of objects in space from images taken by CCD cameras. Such measurements might be used to find orbits of asteroids or record the brightness of variable stars. One day it should be able to record objects positions, detect stars and find coordinates using star catalogues.
