VITO AstroNavigator is a PPC GPS application which displays a map of the sky according to your current position, time and direction of movement. You are able to identify sky objects with a single tap.
The sky map in VITO AstroNavigator contains over 9000 stars down to 6.5 m.
AstroNavigator provides advanced search engine for star database and shows:
- all planets of our solar system;
- Sun and Moon;
- constellations;
- coordinate grids;
- names for all major stars and HR numbers for other stars.
Most notably the program also plots the position of the GPS satellites against the sky background in realtime.
Requires a Pocket PC (XScale, ARM or MIPS) connected to a GPS receiver.
