Visual Ephemeris for Uranian Moons | | Description: | This program will generate an ephemeris with the same accuracy which can be obtained from BDL's Ephemerides Server for the five major moons of Uranus. It is based on GUST86 and VSOP87C.Ura theories form the BDL FTP site which they currently use. The major difference with this software is that there are both text and graphics allowing the user to view the moons from 4700BC to at least 6000AD. The program will generate a one time view or one may select a realtime ephemeris for any date, updating every ten seconds for up to twenty-four hours. Typical accuracy is better than .01 arcsecond (typically .001) due to compiler differences. | | | Version: | 1 | | Filesize: | 274.00 Kb | | Added on: | 16-Aug-2003 | | Downloads: | 568 | | Rating: | 1.0 (1 Vote) | | Category: | Windows / Ephemerides - Planets | | Homepage | Rate resource | Details | Comments (1)

Planet's Visibility | | Description: | According to the authors, «presents a sleek 3-colour graph that tells, at-a-glance, when a planet (or Moon and Sun) is visible from your location. The vertical axis marks the months of the selected year, with the horizontal axis marking the 24 hours of the day (in local time). The three colours create a contour map effect and identify when the selected object is visible, not visible, or "eclipsed" by the sun. A fixed crosshair identifies the current date and time. By moving the mouse over the graph area, the date and time, as well as the objects altitude, azimuth, and magnitude (or the phase of the moon if the moon is selected) are displayed. The results can be printed.»
Click anywhere on the graphic and you will get a representation of the rotational and illuminational parameters of the planets. | | | Version: | 2 | | Filesize: | 4.39 MB | | Added on: | 01-Aug-2003 | | Downloads: | 904 | | Rating: | 6.0 (1 Vote) | | Category: | Windows / Ephemerides - Planets | | Homepage | Rate resource | Details
