registax2

Though I had this programme for a while I`ve only just recently been using it. Web cam photography seemed a bit daunting to a complete novice like me. Registax2 was a treat to use. The basic default settings were enough to bring out detail in planetary and lunar photos. The help files contained relevant information to give guidence, though what I did find was it was much better to tweak the settings and watch the resultant images unfold. One bit of advice, do not delete any files unless you are absolutely sure you dont need them. All in all a great software package for beginners and pros.

I did notice the auto alighing being a little off, but only if the image is jumping or moving rapidly, over came this with a little patience by selecting stable frames. though would like further comments.

Hi: Like Rosario, I'm learning to use this program but find it a little bit too complicated compared to the former version. And I've found that the autoaligning feature does not give accurate results. Has anybody found the same problem? Meanwhile, I'll keep trying it and learning along the way. Astrocharlie
